Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 500 gram baby potatoes


  • 250 gram green peas


  • 2 tbsp onion paste


  • 1 tbsp tomato puree


  • 1 tsp ginger paste


  • 1 tsp garlic paste


  • 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon meat masala powder


  • 1/4 teaspoons sahi garam masala powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar


  • 1/2 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder


  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves


  • 1 tsp green chilli chopped


  • 1/2 cup water as required


  • 4 tbsp mustard oil


  • 5 black peppercorns


  • 1 bay leaf


  • 2 whole dry red chillis


  • 2 cardamoms crushed


  • 1 cinnamon stick


  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds


  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  • Boil the baby potatoes with enough water and peeled them.
  • In a pan heat mustard oil and add boiled potatoes.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
  • Stir fry for about five minutes on medium flame and then remove.
  • In the remaining oil add cinnamon stick, cardamoms, peppercorns, cumin seeds, whole dry red chillies, bay leaf for tempering.
  • When they release their aroma add onion paste and fry till light golden brown.
  • Add tomato puree and garlic paste.
  • Add ginger paste and mix well.
  • Add cumin powder and Kashmiri red chilli powder.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sugar and meat masala powder and mix well.
  • Add green peas.
  • Stir fry for about five minutes on low-medium flame till the peas change its colour.
  • Add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Add fried baby potatoes.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame and then add garam masala powder.
  • Mix, turn off the gas and add chopped coriander leaves, green chillies and serve.
